Aberystwyth University is a public research university in Aberystwyth, Wales. Aberystwyth With was a founding member of the former Federal University of Wales. The university has about 8,000 students studying across 3 academic faculties and 17 departments.

It has also become the first university in the world to be awarded as Plastic Free University status. The main campus of the University is lying on Penglais Hill, overviewing the town of Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay, and made up the majority of the University buildings, Arts Centre, Students’ Union, and the majority of the student living.

Aberystwyth Regional Scholarships for Undergraduate Students:

  • Students must be applying for an undergraduate programme.
  • Students must reside in one of the listed eligible countries (see the full list below or visit our Your Country/Region pages).
  • Students will be eligible for a £2,000 reduction in tuition fees for each year of their studies at Aberystwyth University.
  • This scholarship can be combined with the International Accommodation Award (IAA).
  • Students must be international fee payers.
  • Students must be self-funding and not in receipt of any other Scholarships, apart from the IAA.
  • Students should meet the University’s usual entry requirements.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Postgraduate Students 

  • Students must be applying for a postgraduate programme to receive this prestigious Scholarship.
  • Students must reside in one of the countries eligible for the Aberystwyth Regional Scholarships (see the full list below or visit our Your Country/Region pages).
  • Students with an equivalent of a UK First Honours degree will be eligible for a £3,000 discount.
  • Students with an equivalent of a UK Upper Second (2:1) or Lower Second (2:2) degree will receive a £2,000 discount.
  • This scholarship can be combined with the International Accommodation Award (IAA).
  • Students must be international fee payers.
  • Students must be self-funding and not in receipt of any other Scholarships, apart from the IAA.
  • Students should meet the University’s usual entry requirements.

Eligibility criteria:  To be eligible for the International Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship the candidate must qualify given the below requirements.

  • English language
  • No specification for nationality. All over the world, students are welcomed
  • Visa student
  • The student should have an undergraduate degree from an institution registered  by Aberystwyth University and the UK NARIC

OR

  • Candidates who apply for the scholarship must have a minimum of 24 months of full-time professional experience to matriculate as a mature student prior to the start of the course (for Masters courses, but not Ph.D. programs).
  • Please note that applicants, who may be able to matriculate, may not be required to be able to meet the specific entry requirements for the relevant course, For example, 1 Honours degree or equivalent for research places, 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent for taught Masters, sufficient and relevant work experience for MBA (at least 3 years). In such situations, the applicant should consult either the Postgraduate Admissions Office or the relevant Department.
