Eligibility Criteria for ACI Foundation Scholarship
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria to avail of the ACI Foundation fellowship and Scholarship, given below;
- The required study language is English. (If English is not your first language, then you must submit a written declaration attesting to your fluency with the language with the application).
- Applicants from all world countries are eligible for ACI fellowship. (Anybody in the world is eligible to apply for an ACI Foundation Fellowship, however, you have to be enrolled at a university in the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) during the year of the award).
- All international students may be eligible for ACI Foundation fellowships but at the time of award cycle, you must be enrolled in a U.S. or Canadian university.
- ACI Foundation fellowship finalists will be contacted by February 4, 2024, and they will need to be available to participate in an interview with the Scholarship Council on Sunday, March 27, 2024, during the ACI Concrete Convention in the spring. Along with covering the cost of the ticket, accommodation, and registration, ACI Foundation will also provide a travel stipend.
- The educational stipend covers costs for books, tuition, accommodation and board, student fees, and other expenditures. It is paid to the student directly over the course of a year in two equal payments. Attendance at scheduled ACI Concrete Conventions during the award cycle is a requirement for receiving stipends.
- Near the conclusion of their fellowship term, fellowship recipients are required to present a written report outlining the significance of the fellowship to their professional development and readiness for their chosen field of work following graduation.
