Eligibility Criteria For Birkbeck University of London Scholarships
The general eligibility criteria for Birkbeck International Excellence Scholarships are given below:
- The required study language is English.
- Eligible Countries: Asia (Central Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, and East Asia), the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa (Sub-Saharan), and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
- Every student is eligible only for one scholarship award, and the scholarship cannot typically be combined with any other scholarship.
- All the candidates must be international students who will be paying their tuition fees and who have received a firm offer to enroll themselves in one of Birkbeck’s full-time undergraduate or postgraduate tuition programs beginning in the fall of 2024. Candidates must pay foreign fees to be considered.

- Candidates must be citizens or have a residence in one of the following areas: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.
- Application form for those candidates who ordinarily residing in East Asia/South East Asia

(3) Successful candidates will be chosen based on a statement supporting their application that is no more than 4,000 characters. They should explain in the statement why they are the best applicant for the scholarship. The applicants must have plans in place to pay for their remaining studies.
(4) You will receive an email notifying them that you are chosen to receive this scholarship. Within the time frame stated on your award letter (usually five to seven working days), you must complete a payment of a £2,000 non-refundable deposit.
(5) To be eligible for the scholarship, you must successfully enroll yourself for the Autumn 2024 intake no later than September 19, 2024.
