About the Lund University Global Scholarship 2024

As a top 100 university and ranked in the top 0.4% of universities in the world, Lund University attracts high-achieving students from across the globe. The Lund University Global Scholarship program seeks to recognize these students by awarding academic excellence grants.
Scholarship recipients have a proven record of achieving consistently high grades in their previous studies and are assessed as being a good fit for our programs. The scholarship is selective, competitive and merit-based.
Scholarship grants may cover partial or up to the full tuition fee. The scholarship percentage awarded depends on the budget available to the program/faculty. It has no reflection on the student’s academic level of excellence. Please note that scholarships are toward tuition fees only and that living costs are not covered. Scholarship recipients must still be able to fund their living costs, as per the requirements of the Swedish Migration Agency.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the tuition fee. Please note that scholarships only cover tuition fees and don’t cover living costs.
Eligibility:
Students should meet the following criteria to be eligible for the scholarship:
- Students should not belong to the EU/EEA (and Switzerland) area and are required to pay a tuition fee.
- You have applied for the BS or Masters program at regular application rounds for a minimum of one semester of study (at least 30 ECTS).
Kindly DO NOT APPLY if you don’t meet the confirmation prerequisites to Lund University, in the event that you have not chosen a Lund University program/course as your best option/decisions at universityadmissions.se or in the event that you can’t make sure about the financing expected to take care of living expenses, as needed by the Swedish Migration Board.

To apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first apply for the program (s) or free-standing course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the online, national application website, www.universityadmissions.se during the application period (16 October – 15 January) for studies starting in the autumn semester. Note that a few programs do not open for applications until 1 December).
Whenever you have made a complete application to some extent program or unattached courses of in any event 30 ECTS credits and paid the application expense, you will have the option to apply for the grant at the official site during the grant application period.
