Financial Benefits

Eligibility Criteria for Romania Government Scholarship
The eligibility criteria for the Government of Romania Scholarship are given below, you must fulfill them.
- All international students are eligible for Scholarships in Romania.
- To be eligible for this scholarship, you should not hold Romanian citizenship.
- Age Requirements:
- For a Ph.D. degree or postgraduate studies, you should not be more than 45 Years.
- For Bachelor’s & Master’s Studies, you should not be more than 35 Years.

Documents Required for Romania Government Scholarship
The list of required documents for Scholarships in Romania is below;
- 2 recently clicked photographs (passport format).
- Curriculum Vitae or CV of the applicant.
- A copy of the first three pages of your passport.
- The accurate and completely filled MFA application form (APPENDIX 1) for a Romania scholarship.
- For the purpose of issuing a letter of acceptance to study in Romania, the MER application form (APPENDIX 2).
- an official document issued by the diplomatic representation of the origin nation in Bucharest or the Romanian diplomatic mission in the origin or residence country.
- A certified translated legal copy birth certificate in one of the following languages: French, Romanian, or English.
- The medical certification confirms that the candidates do not have any contagious diseases or other conditions that would make them ineligible for the study’s requirements.
- Certified copies of previous study diplomas (baccalaureate diploma or its equivalent + Undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees, if any are available) along with, if necessary, a certified translation into any one of the following languages; Romanian, English, and French.
- Certified copies of matriculation sheets or diploma supplements for graduate courses that have been translated, if necessary.

- A copy of the proof of name change including a legalised translation (if applicable).
- A copy with a certified translation of the certificate attesting to the current year’s graduates’ passage of the baccalaureate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral exam.
- Copy of the certificate of completion of the Romanian preparatory year or, if applicable, a certificate of language proficiency.
- Declaration on parental approval in the case of young candidates (in either French, English, or Romanian).

The Romanian embassy in your country will determine the application deadline for the Government of Romania Scholarship 2024. Applications may be submitted between December 15, 2023, and March 1, 2024, with the announcement of the selection of results on July 15, 2024. Additional procedures, such as getting a visa, will be necessary after selection.
