Eligibility requirements
The eligibility criteria for the UCW scholarship in Canada are given below;
- Applicants from all nationalities are eligible except the USA.
- The required study language is English.
- It is a requirement for all interested candidates to enroll in the university’s degree program.

- For Undergraduate awards: For the second and subsequent awards, recipients of the scholarship must continue to maintain a GPA of 2.67.
- For Graduate award: For the second and subsequent awards, recipients of the scholarship must continue to maintain a GPA of 3.0.
Scholarships types offered by the University of Canada West
Two types of scholarships are offered by University Canada West for international students: the International Student Leaders Award which is given based on leadership and commitment in the community and the Scholarships for Academic Excellence which is given on the basis of academic merit.
1. Scholarships for Academic Excellence
This award is intended for students who have achieved excellent academic grades and want to succeed in their chosen field of employment. They must exhibit leadership qualities in a professional setting through both their high academic performance and an established track record of excellence in their chosen career.
For undergraduate degree students, the total possible value of this scholarship will range from $8,000 to $20,000, and for graduate students, it will be $5,000 to $15,000.
2. International Students Leaders Award
This scholarship is available for those students who are committed to improving the economic development of their country. Applicants should provide a personal statement in which they discuss how earning an award from their chosen program would affect their long-term objectives for education, employment, and personal development as well as how they plan to use their abilities to advance their home country, and they may also discuss what difficulties they face. The quality of your application and personal statement will determine the level of the award. Students should maintain a strong academic record.
For graduate degree students, the total possible value of this scholarship will range from $5,000-$7,500, and for undergraduate students, it will be $8,000-$12,000.

Required documents
You must attach all the required documents for the UCW scholarship with your form of application. These documents are;
For Undergraduate degree:
- A completed online application.
- An official transcript of high school.
- Official transcripts from all previous post-secondary institutions (if any);
- Proof of English proficiency (if applicable).
- If you submit a certificate from an unrecognized university or if more investigation is required by the Admissions Committee, then you can submit a credential evaluation from a recognized service that confirms equivalency.
