1. DRAC Program grants

This scholarship grant is awarded in three ways, DRAC summer, DRAC winter, and DRAC Advanced training. It targets students from

  • EHEA bachelor’s degree courses

  • Masters or doctoral program students

  • First and second-stage Licenciatura degree courses with a minimum of 60 credits completed in the winter and a minimum of 45 credits completed in the summer.

Coverage plan

This scholarship from the Vives network of universities enables the candidates, staff, and researchers to attend seminars and short courses at another university, make visits to other departments on their campuses, conduct research abroad, and take subjects in a foreign language.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the University of Barcelona DRAC grant, you must fulfill the given criteria:

2. Equity Scholarships

The University of Barcelona Equity Scholarships are intended to support those students who are enrolled in undergraduate degrees, first- and second-cycle Bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degree courses.

The equity scholarship grant will pay the study cost at Barcelona University.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the following requirements, for obtaining the University of Barcelona equity scholarship:

  • Spanish nationals or foreign nationals are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  • If candidates are a foreign nationals and lived in Spain for almost one year and their family income is within the acceptable range, then they may be eligible to receive financial assistance.

  • You must have to show a valid residency permit if you are not a citizen of EU countries.

  • Candidates who have a public university qualification or have completed the required credits are not eligible to apply.

3. UB Collaboration grant

The UB collaborative Grant is awarded to a candidate at UB or one of its other affiliated institutions who is pursuing an undergraduate, Graduate, or doctoral degree – either in the first or second cycle.

Coverage plan:

Candidates may be able to receive financial aid in exchange for cooperation with UB or other institutions that have signed agreements with the institution. Candidates will also be eligible to register with the Spanish Social Security system to participate in the exchange program.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, you must fulfill these eligibility criteria:

General requirements

  • Those students are ineligible for the scholarship who have collaborated with the unit in the last three years.

  • You must have obtained at least 30 ECTS credits unless you are just starting a program in other cases your home university allows you to audit without credit (in which case, you have at least 15 credits must have been earned).

  • Candidates for a doctoral degree must enroll themselves in Ph.D. Degree program

  • Candidates must enroll for at least 18 ECTS credits. Enrollment must show that it is ongoing at UB.

Language requirements

Spanish or Catalan are the required languages for this grant.

Common calls for applications are in March and October. But the additional calls are announced throughout the year.

4. MAEC-AECID grants

  • The MAEC-AECID scholarship enables the candidates to attend postgraduate courses, doctoral programs and language courses, abroad, it also enables you to participate in cultural cooperation abroad and apply for a specialized European course.

  • Monthly allowance and registration fees are available in languages such as English and French.

  • This scholarship program are available for studies abroad for undergraduate or postgraduate students and postgraduate language courses.

Eligibility requirements:

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Candidates who have permanent residency of Spain or they are Spanish citizens are eligible for this scholarship.

  • If you are 35 or younger at the application time then it is possible to apply for this opportunity.
