Scholarship benefits and cost of living
The scholarship is awarded during the first year of enrollment on the basis of the points earned in the final ranking lists. UniTrento’s scholarships for 7.200 euros per year (8500 euros for female students enrolling in STEM programs) are given to top-scoring non-European students.
Students will be informed if they are eligible for a scholarship or not, as soon as the shortlist is released. Your tuition fees are waived if you get benefits from a UniTrento scholarship. However, there are only a number of scholarships available, you may not automatically be eligible for the UniTrento scholarship even if you fall under the “fee waiver” category.
The amount is paid in two installments:
- For the first year of enrollment, 1st installment is by the end of December.
- For the first year of enrollment, 2nd installment by the end of May, only if the credits you have earned equal at least 50% of the total number of credits you are expected to earn during the January and February exam period.
If you fail to meet all the requirements to receive the second installment in May, you may receive it in October if you complete 42 credits (or 36 for degrees in Italian) by August 10th.
If you will not be able to complete the required credits by August 10th, you will be required to return the portion of the scholarship you have already received and pay the fees set for the next academic year, as shown by the range values in the table below.
