Students that can’t apply for Wellcome Uk Government Scholarships 2024
- If you intend to be based in high-income countries, Republic of Ireland and UK (taught courses of yours can be anywhere in the world).
- Instead, the researcher in India can see the Wellcome Trust/ Department of Biotechnology India Alliance.
- Plan to do a Master of Research (MRes).
- Currently, apply for any other Wellcome trust fellowship program.
- Do not apply if you already have a Masters.
Expectations of your host organization
It is required that you should be based in middle and low-income countries for research projects. It is needed that when your host organization submits your application, they must give you all the resources and space needed by you from the start till the end date.
Supervisor and Sponsor

- Sponsors must not expect you to spend more than eight hours a week on all non-research activities (Teaching, administration, and clinical duties).
- Your sponsor’s support and mentor-ship must be responsible for a long-time partnership to fulfill your dream.
- It is your responsibility to select a supervisor to help you day to day with your research process. It would help if you took additional supervisors for every period that you spend out of your host organization, including a taught course of yours.

Procedure for applying for Wellcome International Master Fellowship
You must follow the given instructions for applying to this Program:
- Submit your application by Wellcome Trust Grant Tracker (WTGT)
- You have to submit your application by Grant Tracker.
- Must submit it to the authorized organizational approver at your host organization of yours for approval. You should make sure that you have left enough time for the approver to review and submit your application before the deadline. The approver can ask you to make some changes to the application.
