Katsina State Scholarship Trust Fund
Before 2005, there was a group called the Katsina State Scholarship Board. It started when Katsina became its own state and made a law in 1988 to help students from Katsina pay for their education after high school. They could use the money to study at colleges and universities all over the country.
But in 2005, they changed things. They made a new law called the Scholarship Trust Fund Law No. 12 of 2005, and this law replaced the old Scholarship Board. This new law helps students from Katsina get money for their education in a different way.

Education in Katsina State
Katsina State has five different universities, including both public and private ones. These universities are named Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University, Federal University in Dutsin-Ma, Al-Qalam University, National Open University of Nigeria, and Cherish Institute.
In addition to these universities, there are also two Colleges of Education: the Federal College of Education and Isa Kaita College of Education. These colleges are meant to train teachers and educators.
And of course, Katsina State has many primary and secondary schools for students of different ages. These schools play a crucial role in educating the youth of the state.
Eligibility Criteria for the Katsina State Scholarship Scheme
- Residency Requirement: You must be an indigene of Delta State, meaning you should be a native or have your roots in Delta State.
- Enrollment in an Approved Institution: You should be a student enrolled in an educational institution that is recognized and approved.
- Academic Performance: You need to have a good academic record.
- Minimum CGPA: If you are in a higher institution like a university, polytechnic, college of education, or a similar institution, you are usually required to have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0. This indicates a solid academic performance.

- First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC): This is a certificate obtained after completing primary education.
